About Darina

My name is Darina.

Photography has always been my passion, something meaningful and special. One of my first memories is of my parents and me walking in a park; I was around one year old. My mum was taking photos of us and I wanted to take the camera. I was angry and upset because my mum didn't want to give it to me. I cried a lot, and I still remember how much I wanted that camera.

2005

Three decades later, I started my professional education.

I graduated from Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, where I studied photography. Those years spent in academia showed me that to be a good photographer I needed to develop my skills every single day. Photography has become an ongoing learning process for me, one that enables me to grow personally and professionally, and also to make the world a better place.

2016 to now

How do you make the world a better place? It's simple: by motivating people to love themselves. Photography is about love. Photography is about showing people the external and internal beauty that they all have but cannot always see. Since 2016, I have been working with families, pregnant women and newborns, taking their photographs and also capturing special moments at weddings and christening ceremonies. I am open to every project and new idea, no matter how challenging it might be.

I even act as a psychologist of sorts, helping clients to relax so they can express their true selves and inner emotions. In this way, they can see themselves differently. Every photoshoot creates a new world of positive emotions and happiness, and this is what makes this profession incredible. I cannot see myself doing anything else.
